The charges that were introduced from 3 April have now been removed following the county elections and a change of administration on Friday 5 May 2017.
Charges were removed in response to a Government announcement about current guidance for councils which is to be reviewed to make sure it reflects changes in the law and to make clear what can and cannot be charged for at recycling centres.
The previous policy of accepting a maximum of two 25kg sacks of building and demolition waste has been reinstated and we’d appreciate any help you could give to notify your local residents of this where possible.
