Across the National Park there has been an increase in littering seen at many places. It would seem that in the main litter bins are being used but they are not big enough to cope with the extra demand. The bins then overflow and the wind does the rest. Derbyshire Dales refuse collection teams are trying to fit in more collections to keep on top of the problem as are village caretakers.

If you find a litter bin is full please can you take your litter home and dispose of it elsewhere to keep our villages tidy for those that live here and for subsequent people who visit the area.

Thank you for your anticipated co-operation.
