RAILWAY

Hathersage is on the Hope Valley local stopping service between Manchester and Sheffield. Trains run every 1 or 2 hours all week, with the most frequent service on Saturdays
. Full timetable at www.northernrail.org. Approx journey times are eastwards to Grindleford 3 mins, Dore and Totley 12 mins, Sheffield 20 mins. Westwards to Bamford 4 mins, Hope 8 mins, Edale 16 mins, Chinley 24 mins, New Mills 30mins, Marple 35 mins, Romiley 40 mins, Bredbury 44 mins, Brinnington 47 mins, Reddish North 50 mins and Manchester Piccadilly 62 mins.

BUSES
271
and 272 run seven days a week with around an hourly service. West to Bamford, Hope, Bradwell, and Castleton and eastwards to Sheffield, around 48 minutes. Full timetable www.travelsouthyorkshire.com

Bus 275 provides a 6 day a week service to Sheffield and Bakewell (40 minutes) via Grindleford (6 minutes) and Eyam (19 minutes). There are 3 to 4 buses a day. Bus 276 has 1 return bus on Fridays to Chesterfield (33 minutes). Full timetables on www.hulleys-of-baslow.co.uk
