The Medieval Monastery -How it was built, how life was lived within it.
Large, beautiful and mysterious, built by men with hammers and chisels using ropes and horses to lift massive stone blocks. This is the story of the men who built our English Abbeys and of the monks who lived and prayed in them and provided basic health and education to the people who lived close by.
